We aim to make getting your test results simple and clear.
Our friendly reception team can share some results over the phone or in person. However, they are not trained to explain results, so you may need to book a follow-up appointment with your doctor to discuss them.
When you have a test done, we’ll let you know how long it will take to get the results, usually within 7-10 days. It’s your responsibility to contact the surgery to check your results. Please call after 10:00 AM, as results are not available before then. You can reach us at 02921 855011.
A blood test is a common way to check your health. It can:
For adults, blood is usually taken from a vein in your arm, often near the elbow or wrist. For children, it’s typically taken from the back of the hand, with a numbing cream applied first to make it more comfortable.
We take your privacy seriously. Test results will only be shared with you, unless you’ve given permission for someone else to receive them or if you’re unable to understand the results yourself. For children under 16, results can be shared with a parent or guardian.
Checking your results is important for your health. Not following up could affect your care, so please don’t forget to call us.
To schedule a blood test, please call us at 02921 855011. Results usually take 3-5 days. When you call after 11:00 AM, our receptionist will share the doctor’s comments and let you know if you need a follow-up visit.
